Mazmur 25:7

25:7 Do not hold against me ¹  the sins of my youth ²  or my rebellious acts!

Because you are faithful to me, extend to me your favor, O Lord! ³

105:8 He always remembers his covenantal decree,

the promise he made ⁴  to a thousand generations –

he made to Abraham his servant.

[25:7]  ² sn That is, the sins characteristic of youths, who lack moral discretion and wisdom.

[105:8]  ⁴ tn Heb “[the] word he commanded.” The text refers here to God’s unconditional covenantal promise to Abraham and the patriarchs, as vv. 10-12 make clear.
